¶ 01 Hon. Chairman, the Government can accomplish many things ahead; please focus on them, rather than mudslinging individuals. Otherwise, time and space to deliver the change people expect will run out.

¶ 02 Hon. Minister, let me flag a few issues in the public service; I will table the documents due to time constraints.

¶ 03 First: “Correction of pay anomalies of Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS) officers through an amendment at the 2025 Budget Committee Stage.” The Joint Trade Union Alliance of Management Service Officers has submitted proposals, referring to Circular 06/2006 and subsequent revisions that created anomalies. They urge adopting PSC Secretary/Director General’s recommendations (Volume II, 2021.08.11) to grant the 1111/3 salary scale to Management Service Officers to resolve prevailing anomalies at Committee Stage.

¶ 04 Second: regarding graduate appointees in substitute/temporary service — proposals have been submitted titled “Implementing the Government’s relief for graduate appointees in substitute service to permanently resolve long‑standing salary issues of the Management Service.” I table these letters for consideration.
