¶ 01 Question to the Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperative Development:

¶ 02 Registered Co-operative Societies and Co-operative Banks: North-Central Province (Q. 845/2025)

¶ 03 (a) Will he state: (i) the number of limited-liability multi-purpose co-operative societies, co-operative bank societies, and their branches in the Anuradhapura District registered with the Department of Co-operative Development of the North-Central Province, separately; and (ii) the methodology followed in establishing those co-operative societies and co-operative bank societies?

¶ 04 (b) Will he also state: (i) whether he is aware of two societies named the Saubhagya Co-operative Society Ltd. (SCD) of the North-Central Province and the Anuradhapura District Rural Capital Development Co-operative Society Ltd. (RCD); (ii) if so, for each: the date of commencement, registration number and address; (iii) the current owners of those addresses; (iv) whether the primary, secondary and tertiary composition and methodology were followed in establishing those societies; (v) if not, the methodology that was followed; (vi) whether approval of the North-Central Province Co-operative Employees Commission was obtained when recruiting employees to those societies; and (vii) if not, the methodology followed in recruitment?
