¶ 01 Hon. Minister, this is my first supplementary question.

¶ 02 As we know, generally when any private land is subdivided, if it exceeds a hectare, about 10 per cent of the residual land, excluding road reservations, is allocated for common amenities. That portion is specifically set aside for the common activities of users of that land. However, in the cases I have questioned—“Amba Sevana Watta” and another location—the land reserved for public amenities is being used by a brother of a local politician. We know that the Chairman of any Pradeshiya Sabha is ultimately responsible for actions relevant to that local authority. Yet, during that period, that politician did not take steps either to remove his brother from that land or to act on the matter. My question is whether any action has been taken under the law against that local politician for failing to take appropriate steps.
