¶ 01 Hon. Speaker, the answers are as follows:

¶ 02 (a) (i) No. (ii) Modara Pradeepa Hall – GCV assessment not obtained (the land ownership has not been fully vested in the NHDA; therefore assessment could not be obtained). Maligawatta Pradeepa Hall – GCV assessment not obtained (survey plans have been prepared and referred to the Department of Valuation to obtain the assessed value). (iii) Not yet received. (iv) As land ownership and vesting have not been regularized (not vested in NHDA), the procurement process was not followed. Accordingly, based on a Board decision, the halls have been provided on a lease basis.

¶ 03 (b) (i) No. Instead, a 109.71-perch land parcel has been leased at an annual ground rent of Rs. 453,000. (ii) It has been entrusted to the “Venerable Muruttetuwe Ananda Thero Foundation”. (iii) No. Generally, in housing projects, land is set aside for community amenities and religious activities. Accordingly, the land adjacent to the Buddhist Centre and the Sirisumana Dhamma School at Maththegoda has been provided on a lease basis to facilitate those activities. (iv) Yes. As explained, the Government Chief Valuer’s ground rent assessment dated 2023.01.25 was obtained and the agreement executed accordingly. The annual ground rent is Rs. 453,000.
