¶ 01 Hon. Member, in addition to service trade training, we are working on a programme to provide NVQ certification aligned to the practical skills and experience of Tri-Forces personnel, recognizing that their competencies match those of civilians. Discussions have been held with the Deputy Minister of Vocational Education, Hon. Nalin Bandara (Note: as referred), and Hon. Chathuranga Abeysinghe, Minister, together with the relevant ministries and the Vocational Training Authority, to establish a special programme under the Ministry of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development titled “Ranaviru Vāpasāyaka Abhiman” (War Heroes’ Entrepreneurial Pride). Twenty-eight focus sectors have been identified, and training programmes are being arranged so they can effectively enter the national labour force and contribute to the economy as productive workers.
