¶ 01 Hon. Speaker, on behalf of the Minister, I answer as follows:

¶ 02 (a)(i) Total paddy land area in Ampara District: 98,531.3769 hectares.

¶ 03 (ii) Yala harvest and PMB purchases: - 2024 Yala: Total harvest 232,709 metric tons; PMB purchases 119.6 metric tons delivered to Government stores by Ampara farmers; additionally, 119,600 kg (119.6 MT) delivered. - 2025 Yala: Total harvest 265,774 metric tons; PMB purchases 23,660 metric tons delivered; additionally, 23,660,000 kg delivered to Ampara stores by farmers.

¶ 04 Thus, compared to 2024 Yala, 2025 Yala shows an increase of about 33,000 metric tons in total harvest.

¶ 05 (iii) Number of PMB warehouses in Ampara District: 28.
