¶ 01 Thank you, Hon. Speaker. In response to part (vii) of Hon. Ravindra Bandara’s Question, I have already stated the measures: the Cabinet Memorandum to obtain observations and recommendations of the Director General of Management Services has been submitted; the Department of Management Services is preparing to submit a Cabinet Memorandum, pursuant to Public Administration Circulars 25/2014 and 29/2019, to regularize employees recruited on temporary, casual (daily), substitute, contract or relief basis in State institutions. Upon approval, further action will be taken.

¶ 02 In respect of (viii), confirmations are effected, in line with policy decisions of the Government, under the circulars issued from time to time by the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government, for those serving on temporary basis who fulfill the requisite qualifications.
