¶ 01 First, on one issue: technology must be used to regularize and improve transparency through digitization, for which Cabinet approval has been obtained. That work is being expedited. Currently, fund management is under the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, while administrative oversight by name is with the Ministry of Labour. We are now rapidly working to regularize this.

¶ 02 What the Hon. Member raised is correct: the real owners are the employees and they have a right to be informed. At present, that access has not been adequately provided. Through the digital platform, we will move to a transparent system enabling members to access information. The EPF has been subject to public discussion due to past issues, and there could be other large concerns as well. However, at this moment, no special forensic audit has been initiated. We aim to streamline progressively, first through the digital system to deliver the mandate, and we are ready to take appropriate actions as issues arise.
