¶ 04 Under Standing Order 116B and the Resolution passed by Parliament on 19th March 2025, I wish to inform the House that the Selection Committee has nominated Hon. Ajith P. Perera, MP to serve on the Committee on Standing Orders.

¶ 05 COMMITTEE ON PARLIAMENTARY BUSINESS: SUBSTITUTION OF MEMBER

¶ 06 Consequent to the resignation of Hon. Namal Rajapaksa, MP from the Committee on Parliamentary Business, to fill the vacancy so created, in terms of Standing Order 130(3), the Selection Committee, on 18th November 2025, nominated Hon. D.V. Chanaka, MP to serve on the Committee on Parliamentary Business.

¶ 07 SECTORAL OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE ON ENVIRONMENT, AGRICULTURE AND RESOURCE SUSTAINABILITY: NOMINATION OF MEMBER

¶ 08 Under Standing Order 111B and the Resolution passed by Parliament on 17th March 2025, I wish to inform the House that the Selection Committee has nominated Hon. (Attorney-at-Law) Chitral Fernando, MP to serve on the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Environment, Agriculture and Resource Sustainability.

¶ 10 Under Standing Order 111B and the Resolution passed by Parliament on 17th March 2025, I wish to inform the House that the Selection Committee has nominated Hon. Ajith P. Perera, MP to serve on the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Governance, Justice and Civil Protection.

¶ 11 SECTORAL OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE ON INFRASTRUCTURE AND STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT: NOMINATION OF MEMBER

¶ 12 Under Standing Order 111B and the Resolution passed by Parliament on 17th March 2025, I wish to inform the House that the Selection Committee has nominated Hon. Chathura Galappaththi, MP to serve on the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Infrastructure and Strategic Development.

¶ 13 THREE-MEMBER COMMITTEE ON THE CONDUCT OF HON. DAYASIRI JAYASEKARA

¶ 14 Arising from a complaint made by Hon. (Attorney-at-Law) Sunil Watagala, MP at the Committee on Parliamentary Business held on 25th September 2025, regarding the conduct of Hon. (Attorney-at-Law) Dayasiri Jayasekara, MP within the Chamber on 24th September 2025, I appointed a Three-Member Committee to inquire into and report on the matter, chaired by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. (Dr.) Riswan Sally, MP, with Hon. (Dr.) Upali Pannilage, MP and Hon. R.M. Ranjith Maddumabandara, MP as Members.
