¶ 01 Hon. Speaker, we have taken steps to ensure uninterrupted power generation using coal. There is no disruption or delay in the supply of petroleum products either. Despite the noise made here, we are managing with the storage capacity available in the tanks already constructed. The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation’s tanks are filled to the maximum to maintain the situation. We have already commenced constructing nine new tanks; foundation stones have been laid and work has begun under this Government. Unlike you, who did not plan for tomorrow, we are managing and moving forward. We are committed to preventing such a situation, though we cannot control the global war. Remember, we will do our utmost to safeguard the country’s energy security.
