¶ 01 Death of Hon. Kosala Nuwan Jayaweera

¶ 02 I wish to inform this House that a vacancy in the Membership of this Parliament has occurred with effect from the 06th of April, 2025, in terms of the provisions of Article 66(a) of the Constitution due to the death of the Hon. Kosala Nuwan Jayaweera, Member of Parliament of the Electoral District of Kegalle.

¶ 03 It is with profound regret that I inform this Parliament of his passing away. On behalf of Parliament, I would like to convey that we are deeply saddened by his demise and would like to express our heartfelt sympathies to the family of the Hon. Member.

¶ 04 The Vote of Condolence in this regard will be presented to Parliament on a future date.

¶ 05 Auditor-General’s Report

¶ 06 On behalf of the Hon. Speaker, I present the: - Second Instalment - Part LVII and Ninth Instalment - Part XLIV of the Report of the Auditor-General for the Financial Year 2019; - Second Instalment - Part LX of the Report of the Auditor-General for the Financial Year 2021; and - Second Instalment - Part XXXIX and Ninth Instalment - Part XXII of the Report of the Auditor-General for the Financial Year 2023

¶ 07 in terms of Article 154(6) of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
