¶ 01 Hon. Deputy Chairperson of Committees, I second the Motion. As stated, this Special Entrance Exam is required for LLB graduates of private universities to enter the Law College. Notably, last year all candidates failed; no one from that LLB cohort gained entrance—indicating an issue on its face. This year again, problems have arisen.

¶ 02 There are three papers—Contract, Commercial, Administrative Law. About 20 candidates report scoring 65–75 percent in two papers, but only 30–35 percent in the third. Such a pattern is statistically unlikely and raises suspicion. Usually, re-corrections are available in public exams, but we are informed no re-scrutiny is permitted for this exam. There were 201 vacancies; about 217 sat; only around 140 have reached the cut-off. With 61 vacancies unfilled, we request consideration to avoid wasting another year for these students.
