¶ 01 Hon. Prime Minister, thank you for the answers. The “Nearest School is the Best School” project was initiated in Bandaragama where there is a dearth of advanced secondary schools; only Bandaragama Central College is a National School. Given that K/Ramukkana Vidyaloka Primary School is very close to the town, it was identified as having potential to be upgraded. Therefore, I request that the existing master plan be given priority to complete all remaining deficiencies. It is a beautifully designed school. I invite you to visit and observe; then you can take forward such models. Hon. Nalinda Jayatissa can also join—he knows the area well. If each area can have a fully-fledged school, it is valuable. We know government finances are tight, but it is important to complete half-done projects.

¶ 02 My first supplementary: there is a master plan; the primary section is complete; a part of the secondary section building is constructed. The Rs. 300 million you cited pertains to the halted section of the secondary building. Due to site constraints, all buildings are four-storeyed. Will you please make this an exemplar project and complete it in the coming year?
