¶ 01 Question to ask the Minister of Health and Mass Media:

¶ 02 (a) Will he inform this House— (i) whether adequate numbers of medical officers, nurses, minor staff and non-academic staff are available at the Maternity and Children’s Hospital, Gallassa, Nagoda; (ii) whether other required infrastructure facilities have been provided; (iii) whether the children’s and maternity clinics are currently functioning; (iv) whether laboratory technical facilities required for those clinics have been provided; (v) whether an adequate number of ambulances is available; (vi) the numbers of drivers and assistants required for those ambulances, separately; (vii) whether sufficient numbers of drivers and assistants are available; and (viii) if not, the measures taken to fill those vacancies?

¶ 03 (b) Will he also inform this House— (i) whether adequate medical laboratory technical facilities are available in government hospitals in Sri Lanka; (ii) whether those facilities are in a usable state; (iii) the medical equipment and machinery in short supply for government hospitals; and (iv) the sections for which the said equipment and machinery are needed?
