¶ 01 Question to the Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation:

¶ 02 (a) Will he inform this House - (i) the operating profit/loss of the Trincomalee Port in each year, separately from 2010 to 2024; (ii) whether the jetties or terminals owned by the Trincomalee Port have been given to various private companies on lease or on any other basis; (iii) if so, the names of the companies referred to above; (iv) whether the said companies have properly paid the taxes or other payments owed to the Sri Lanka Ports Authority; and (v) if so, the details of the above payments from 2005 to 2024, separately for each year?

¶ 03 (b) Will he also inform this House - (i) whether the Trincomalee Port currently has any jetties or terminals that are fully or partially owned by the Government; (ii) if so, the said jetties or terminals; and (iii) the plans available for the development of the Trincomalee Port?

¶ 04 (c) If not, why?
