¶ 01 Hon. Speaker, the answer is as follows:

¶ 02 (a) (i) Whether a transformer is required is determined by the requested supply capacity. If the capacity exceeds 100 kVA, the customer bears the transformer installation cost. Clarifications: - For supplies up to 21 kVA, the fee for a standard three-phase 30A supply is charged. - For 21–42 kVA, the fee for a standard three-phase 60A supply is charged. - For 42–99 kVA, capital contribution is charged proportionally to provide a bulk supply; individual loop connections from the common supply point are charged separately. - The cost of installing a transformer is borne by the CEB for these lower capacities. - Only when demand exceeds 100 kVA must the applicant bear the full transformer installation cost. (ii) Accordingly, for 30A, 60A and up to 99 kVA supplies, a transformer is not mandatory; if needed, it will be installed at CEB expense. Customers are charged only PUCSL-approved standard construction costs and capacity charges. If demand exceeds 100 kVA, the applicant bears the full transformer installation cost. (iii) Estimates are prepared based on PUCSL-approved standard construction costs; upon payment, construction is carried out and supply is provided without delay.
