¶ 01 (a) (i) One vehicle. (ii) Registration No.: WP CAR - 9294; Type: Car; Model: Mercedes Benz E300 Hybrid. (iii) According to the file, the vehicle was allocated from 13.11.2018 to 02.01.2019.

¶ 02 (b) (i) As the administrative functions of the Ministry of Housing and the Ministry of Social Welfare were carried out separately, only the vehicle WP CAR - 9294 was provided by the Ministry of Social Welfare. As per President’s Circular No. CA/1/17/1 dated 14.05.2010, a monthly allowance of 500 litres of diesel was entitled for WP CAR - 9294. (Circular placed in the Library.)

¶ 03 (ii) According to the Ministry’s salary ledgers and payment vouchers, for the period 09.11.2018 to 15.12.2018 when the Minister of Housing and Social Welfare held office, no fuel allowance payment was made for the official vehicle. However, during that period, 155 litres of Super Diesel were provided through Fuel Vouchers (General 231). Based on the prevailing fuel prices then, the cost for 155 litres of Super Diesel was Rs. 21,330.00. These details were ascertained after examining files and fuel vouchers maintained in the Ministry’s archives.
