¶ 04 In terms of Article 79 of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, I wish to inform the House that on 19th June 2025, I endorsed the certificate on the Bill titled “National Transport Commission (Amendment).”

¶ 05 Companies (Amendment) Bill: Petition to the Supreme Court

¶ 06 In addition to the petition referred to in my announcement on 19th June 2025, I wish to inform Parliament that, in terms of Article 121(1) of the Constitution, I received on 19th June 2025 a copy of another petition presented to the Supreme Court in respect of the Bill titled “Companies (Amendment).”

¶ 07 Meeting of Committee on Parliamentary Business

¶ 08 A meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Business is scheduled to be held today, Friday, 20th June 2025 at 11.30 a.m. in Committee Room No. 28. All Hon. Members are informed to attend.

¶ 09 Auditor-General’s Report

¶ 10 In terms of Article 154(6) of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, I lay on the Table:

¶ 11 - Part LXI of the Second Category of the Auditor-General’s Report for the financial year 2020; - Part XLVI of the Second Category of the Auditor-General’s Report for the financial year 2023; and - Part XXVII of the Ninth Category of the Auditor-General’s Report for the financial year 2024.
