¶ 01 Hon. Speaker, as the Minister said, we will keep engaging. This goes beyond parties; the entire Tamil political spectrum is concerned. Please arrange a meeting to discuss this; we will present proposals. Meanwhile, compensate those affected. Over 280 cattle have been killed by members of the majority community who have illegally encroached. I filed a court case and the court ordered 13 individuals to be evicted; the previous Government did not implement it, and seven still remain. Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe promised compensation to cattle owners; even after submitting the list, compensation has not been paid.

¶ 02 Further, in Keviliyamadu, a monk has arbitrarily permitted majority-community people inside the elephant-fence area. They have been capturing and torturing cattle, creating unrest. While compensating the affected, please also arrange compensation for farmers affected by floods during Maha. Registration was only from Dec. 1 to 10. Is there an arrangement for flood-affected farmers to receive compensation?
