The Hon. (Dr.) Harini Amarasuriya - Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education

¶ 01 Hon. Speaker, I present the - (i) Annual Report of the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission for the year 2023; and (ii) Annual Performance Report of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education (Volume I - General Education, Volume II - Higher Education and Volume III - Vocational Education) for the year 2024.

¶ 02 I move that these Reports be referred to the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Education, Manpower and Human Capital.

¶ 03 Question put, and agreed to.

¶ 04 Sir, I present the Reports on the submission of observations and steps taken in terms of the Standing Order No. 119(4) of Parliament with regard to the matters mentioned on the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education and the institutions coming under its purview in the Reports of the Committee on Public Accounts, which were presented to Parliament.

¶ 05 I move that these Reports be referred to the Committee on Public Accounts.

¶ 06 Question put, and agreed to.

¶ 07 Sir, I present the - (i) Performance Report of the Judges of the Superior Court - Head 04 for the year 2024; and (ii) Performance Report of the Department of Civil Security for the year 2024.

¶ 08 I move that these Reports be referred to the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Governance, Justice and Civil Protection.

¶ 09 Question put, and agreed to.

¶ 10 I present the Note on Supplementary Allocations from the Development Activities Programme appearing under Expenditure Head No. 240 of the Department of National Budget for the period from 01.06.2025 to 30.06.2025 in terms of Section 6(1) of the Appropriation Act, No. 3 of 2025.
