¶ 01 Hon. Presiding Member, in 1986–1987, three tanks were installed on Railway Department land at Kaduruwela, Polonnaruwa for distributing fuel to residents: one 50,000-litre and another 28,000-litre above-ground tanks. Two days before the presidential election, on 18 September 2024, a tender was called covering “two numbers of storage steel tanks, other remaining materials including buildings, gates, fence and saddles at the site.” However, outside tender scope, a 45,000-litre underground BBD tank was unearthed and cut up. What action will you take against those responsible?
