¶ 01 Mr. Speaker, this is a big joke. The jester is talking about a court case. Now Members here are making videos of this. What sort of two-bit work is this?

¶ 05 Chamara Sampath, Hon. Member, do not hijack this moment. The Hon. Speaker gave you permission to express your grievance while the House was in disorder, contrary to the Rules. Do you think you can proceed here through intimidation?

¶ 06 You cannot proceed with threats like this. Hon. Member, do not pick quarrels. Hon. Chamara Sampath, Chamara, Chamara—

¶ 07 Do not make false allegations against the Hon. Speaker. The Hon. Speaker gave permission for that, didn’t he?

¶ 08 Hon. Member, defend that in Court. The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption is a separate institution. We are not the ones conducting proceedings there. No, no—that is not how it is.

¶ 13 They are the ones provoking. Mr. Speaker, I say to the House—this is entirely wrong. Now it is proven—the jester has come, agitating, and is speaking in Parliament against the courts. He is speaking nonsense, with the blessings of the Opposition Leaders. The Opposition is telling this Member to act in violation of the Rules.

¶ 14 Chamara Sampath, Hon. Member, what you are doing is entirely wrong. You have no power to speak here with contempt about the judiciary. Understand that you are acting completely contrary to the Rules. You are acting in violation of the Rules.

¶ 15 It was when you were acting contrary to the Rules that the Hon. Speaker compassionately gave you an opportunity. He said it; I was watching as well. Do not try to exploit that. This is politics—
