¶ 01 Hon. Members, having considered the nationwide sudden emergency situation, the Committee on Parliamentary Business at its meeting held on 01st December 2025 rescheduled the days fixed for the debate on the Heads of Expenditure of the Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure, and the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Co-operative Development, during the Committee Stage of the 2026 Appropriation Bill. I wish to inform the House of the amended dates.

¶ 02 Accordingly, the Heads of Expenditure of the Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure and the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Co-operative Development, which were to be debated on Tuesday, 02nd December 2025, will now be taken up together with the Head of Expenditure of the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development that was to be debated on Wednesday, 03rd December 2025, that is today, from 10.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., and on Friday, 05th December 2025, from 10.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., with the Committee Stage to be concluded at 6.00 p.m.

¶ 03 Further, I wish to inform that the time allocated from 6.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. for the Motion at the time of Adjournment will, with the leave of the House and in terms of the decision of the Committee on Parliamentary Business, be used for the Committee Stage debate on the Appropriation Bill.
