¶ 04 In terms of Article 79 of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, I wish to inform that on 20th January, 2026, I endorsed the certificate on the Bill titled “Colombo Port City Economic Commission (Amendment)”.

¶ 05 Parliamentary Pensions (Repeal) Bill: Petition to the Supreme Court

¶ 06 In addition to the three petitions referred to in my announcement of 20th January, 2026, I wish to inform Parliament that, under Article 121(1) of the Constitution, I have received a copy of a petition presented to the Supreme Court in respect of the “Parliamentary Pensions (Repeal) Bill”.

¶ 07 Auditor-General’s Report

¶ 08 In terms of Article 154(6) of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, I lay on the Table the Auditor-General’s Report for the financial year 2024: Parts XXXII, XXXIV, XXXV and XXXVI of Volume I; Parts XIX and XX of Volume IV; Parts VII and IX of Volume V; and Part XXV of Volume VI.
