¶ 01 Question to the Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs:

¶ 02 (a) Will he inform this House— (i) the number of shootings reported in Sri Lanka in each year from 2020 to 2025; (ii) the number of deaths and injuries resulting from the said shootings during that period, separately; and (iii) the steps taken by the Sri Lanka Police to control these shooting incidents and the progress made therein?

¶ 03 (b) Will he also inform this House— (i) whether he is aware that the building in which the Bandaragama Police Station is maintained is old and dilapidated; (ii) whether he acknowledges that there is a need for a modern building with facilities for the said police station; (iii) whether a building plan has been prepared to improve the Bandaragama Police premises; (iv) if so, the expected cost thereof; (v) whether a study has been conducted regarding the possibility of constructing an official quarters complex within the Bandaragama Police premises to address the need for official quarters; and (vi) if not, whether steps will be taken to conduct a study in this regard?
