¶ 01 asked the Minister of Health and Mass Media: (a) Will he state, in respect of the Kilinochchi District, - (i) whether post offices and sub-post offices are functioning according to the ranking; (ii) the number of post offices and sub-post offices according to the ranking, separately; (iii) the number of post offices and sub-post offices with/without permanent lands and buildings, separately; (iv) the timeframe for giving permanent buildings for sub-post offices which do not have permanent buildings; and (v) whether post offices at Kilinochchi, Paranthan, Pachchilaippalli and Pooneryn have modern facilities and computers? (b) Will he also state - (i) whether he accepts that sub-post offices should be established in Bharathipuram, Punnaineeravi and Pallikkuda; and (ii) if so, the reasons for not taking any action about the letter No. PPS&MR/HR/09-182 dated 09.09.2016 sent by the Minister’s Public Relations Officer to the Postmaster General according to my letter dated 05.09.2016? (c) If not, why?
