¶ 01 asked the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation: (a) Will he state - (i) whether Maga Neguma is presently operational; (ii) if so, the offices and industrial yards currently in operation; and (iii) if it is not operational, the offices and industrial yards that have been closed? (b) Will he also state - (i) whether he is aware that there is a Maga Neguma yard in the areas of Anuradhapura, Kekirawa and Ganewalpola; (ii) its present condition; (iii) the reasons for its closure; (iv) the machinery, equipment and vehicles available there, separately; (v) their current value; (vi) whether there is a programme to use them for road development in Sri Lanka; (vii) if that centre is not to be continued, on what basis it will be taken over; (viii) the institution that will take it over; (ix) how long it will take to take over; (x) the timeframe within which it will be taken over? (c) If not, why?
