¶ 01 Thank you. I wish to say one more thing. Now everyone says “ice, ice.” You are bringing a Bill to remove corporal punishment. I say it should be allowed. If at that time [Expunged on the order of the Chair] corporal punishment had been given, those containers would not have run. If you remove corporal punishment, within a month more containers will run from the port. Because these fellows have not even received corporal punishment. At minimum, include in the Bill an amendment allowing MPs of the Government to administer corporal punishment so that you can at least do something.

¶ 02 Let me say this. Hon. Sunil Watagala showed a photo of Namal and said ice was caught in the South. Then Hon. Bimal Rathnayake said in the Island that he is going to be the President. If I had made such a statement, I would have been arrested not in the toilet but outside by now. Then cases would be filed: “How did you speak on that? Did you have information?” All cases against me are from speaking about frauds in hospitals in 2024. I have no private cases. The media searches about me parking on a yellow line, but does not search who in the Government sent the containers. What is coming in these containers? Ice.
