¶ 01 Thank you, Hon. Prime Minister.

¶ 02 My first Supplementary Question is this. We agree that since the Commission Report has already been tabled, it need not be presented again. However, when an MP asks, it should be provided. We are not here to hound anyone unfairly; we want the truth and accountability. As raised last Thursday, several matters have now come to light which were not revealed earlier. Hon. Mujibur Rahuman highlighted a serious matter that should have been in the report regarding the then Deputy Minister Aruna Jayasekara—he acknowledged being present and indicated some state intelligence officers were involved directly or indirectly. The President has also told His Eminence the Cardinal that a state officer should be investigated. This suggests concealment. If so, why is there no action against officials who should be subject to investigation—whether intelligence officers or others—so that we can get to the truth without delay? Were those officials made subjects of the inquiry and are they reflected in the Report?

¶ 03 As for my next point, this was a massive tragedy. Do not evade it by saying it is not relevant. As the leader who built this Government, can you assure that the matters stated by the President and the Deputy Minister will be investigated transparently?
