¶ 01 Question to the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation:

¶ 02 (a) Will he inform this House: (i) the total area of land, in acres, provided under the programme of providing lands for middle‑class people living in the four Divisional Secretaries’ Divisions of Vavuniya District to date; (ii) the area, in acres, separately for each Grama Niladhari Division; (iii) the area, in acres, provided to second parties out of the above; and (iv) the names of such second parties, the GN Divisions concerned, and the basis on which the lands were provided?

¶ 03 (b) Will he also inform this House: (i) whether, during the previous Government’s period, housing schemes were implemented on those lands given to second parties; (ii) whether the lands on which the houses were built have been properly given to the respective beneficiaries; and (iii) if so, the reasons for not providing the relevant documents to them so far?

¶ 04 (c) If not, why?
