¶ 01 If you wish, remove it. This is the Sinhala I can speak. Do not trouble me. I am ashamed of your government. Look at your attire. Did any MP face hardship? All have gone to higher ground. Water released from Kotmale Dam inundated villages. I am not here to blame you or them. You are like “L-board” learners; if such a driver hit my car, I would let him go. That is how I must let you go—you should be ashamed.

¶ 02 If that Navy truck had been swept away, 30 war heroes would not be alive. I was saved by Colonel Buddhika and by Ruchan; they called me “Sir,” housed me in the camp for two days, even gave me a private room. To those war heroes you called “soldiers,” be ashamed. How many have died? You said no Jeeps, travel by bus. If anyone here travels by bus, raise your hand. Be ashamed.

¶ 03 Another point: Rs. 360 million is allocated to Jaffna—distributed to those who worked for your party. Why commit such wrongs with people’s money? Give it to estate workers. This is a rotten government; it is shameful to enter this Parliament—truly I felt ashamed entering here because of your deeds.

¶ 04 How rotten? Some Army personnel have no shoes or slippers; nowhere decent to stay; they eat only bread and dhal at camp. But you come in coats and fine vehicles, with ill-gotten wealth—
