¶ 01 On behalf of the Minister of Finance, during the Committee Stage of the 2026 Appropriation Bill, I move the following amendment under the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Co-operative Development:

¶ 02 - On page 17, delete line 22 and substitute: - “Capital Expenditure: Rs. 2,250,000,000.”

¶ 03 Question put, and agreed to. Capital Expenditure, as amended, ordered to stand part of the Schedule.

¶ 04 Further, under Head 116:

¶ 05 - Programme 01 – Operational Activities: - Recurrent Expenditure: Rs. 500,000,000 be inserted in the Schedule. Question put, and agreed to. ¶ 07 I move the following amendment for Head 116, Programme 02:

¶ 08 - On page 18, delete line 3 and substitute: - “Programme 02 – Development Activities: Recurrent Expenditure Rs. 700,000,000; Capital Expenditure Rs. 1,600,000,000.”

¶ 09 Note: The purpose of this amendment is to increase Capital Provision under Head 116 (Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Co-operative Development) by Rs. 1,500,000,000 by incorporating allocations proposed under Budget Proposals Nos. 26 and 59.
