¶ 02 I move the following Amendments:

¶ 03 (1) On page 1, delete line 5 and substitute: “(2) Section 2, subsections (1) and (2) ...”

¶ 04 (2) On page 1, delete from line 9 to line 12 (both lines inclusive) and substitute: “(3) The provisions of subsections (1) and (2) of section 2 shall be deemed to have come into operation respectively on 18th February 2025 and 1st July 2025.”

¶ 06 Clause 2.- (Amendment of the First Schedule to the Act, No. 25 of 2022)

¶ 07 I move the following Amendment: On page 2, delete from line 20 to line 23 (both lines inclusive) and substitute: “25. Financial services supplied under section 111A of the Value Added Tax Act, No. 14 of 2002, as amended, at the rate of twenty point five per centum of value added, and the financial services of any person carrying on such financial service business in Sri Lanka.”
