¶ 03 - Monthly consumption 0–60 kWh: - Block 1: 0–30 kWh – Rs. 6.00/kWh; fixed charge Rs. 100.00 - Block 2: 31–60 kWh – Rs. 9.00/kWh; fixed charge Rs. 250.00 - Monthly consumption over 60 kWh: - Block 1: 0–60 kWh – Rs. 15.00/kWh; no fixed charge - Block 2: 61–90 kWh – Rs. 18.00/kWh; fixed charge Rs. 400.00 - Block 3: 91–120 kWh – Rs. 30.00/kWh; fixed charge Rs. 1,000.00 - Block 4: 121–180 kWh – Rs. 42.00/kWh; fixed charge Rs. 1,500.00 - Block 5: above 180 kWh – Rs. 65.00/kWh; fixed charge Rs. 2,000.00

¶ 04 Domestic – Optional Time-of-Use Tariff: - Day (05:30–18:30): Rs. 56.00/kWh; fixed charge Rs. 2,000.00 - Peak (18:30–22:30): Rs. 72.00/kWh - Off-peak (22:30–05:30): Rs. 24.00/kWh

¶ 05 In addition, there is a General Purpose Tariff scheme:

¶ 06 General Purpose Tariff - Tariff 1 (up to 180 kWh): Day (05:30–18:30) Rs. 26.40/kWh; fixed charge Rs. 600.00 - Tariff 1-2 (over 180 kWh): Day Rs. 34.40/kWh; fixed charge Rs. 1,500.00 - Tariff 2 (TOU): Day Rs. 38.25/kWh; Peak Rs. 46.75/kWh; Off-peak Rs. 31.45/kWh; fixed charges Rs. 5,000.00 and Rs. 1,500.00 (demand) - Tariff 3 (TOU): Day Rs. 37.40/kWh; Peak Rs. 45.90/kWh; Off-peak Rs. 30.60/kWh; fixed charges Rs. 5,000.00 and Rs. 1,400.00 (demand)

¶ 07 (ii) No electricity tariff revisions have been made from 21.10.2024 to date.

¶ 08 (iii) Not applicable.

¶ 09 (iv) Yes, the decisions of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) will be accepted.

¶ 10 (v) There is no intention to dissolve the said Commission.

¶ 11 (b) (i) Under applicable laws and regulations, the Ceylon Electricity Board presents tariff revisions to cover costs forecast for the relevant quarter/half-year. Therefore, tariff levels fluctuate with factors affecting the cost of supplying demand in that period, such as exchange rate, fuel prices, coal prices and rainfall.
