¶ 02 (a) (i) Nediyamadu: Approximately 90% piped water coverage; 206 connections by the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB). No further applications received.

¶ 03 Unnichchai: Approximately 50% coverage; 217 connections provided by NWSDB. Remaining areas are high elevation and cannot be covered by the existing distribution network.

¶ 04 Paneyyaruppan, Pancheney, Vadakkalmadu, Pavatkodichenai: Due to low pressure in existing lines, extensions and new connections are currently not feasible.

¶ 05 (ii) Raw water is abstracted from Unnichchai anicut to supply many areas; around 50% of Unnichchai area is covered with about 217 connections. High-elevation localities remain beyond current distribution capacity.

¶ 06 (iii) NWSDB has initiated steps to extend pipelines and has proposed package treatment plants; plans and procurement steps are annexed. No new Community Water Supply projects have been started due to current resource constraints at the National Community Water Supply Department.

¶ 07 (iv) For Unnichchai, package plants and main extensions are underway as per annexes. Estimated timeframe is about one year, subject to external conditions.
