¶ 03 ELECTION OF A NEW CHAIRMAN FOR COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC ACCOUNTS

¶ 04 Owing to the resignation of Hon. Aravinda Senarath, MP, from the post of Chairman of the Committee on Public Accounts with effect from 06.08.2025, I wish to inform that, in terms of Standing Order 132(1), a meeting of the Committee on Public Accounts will be held on 12th September 2025 to elect a Chairman to fill the vacancy.

¶ 05 BUDGET ESTIMATE OF NATIONAL AUDIT OFFICE - 2026

¶ 06 In terms of Section 34 of the National Audit Act, No. 19 of 2018, I lay on the Table the Budget Estimate for the year 2026 of the National Audit Office, prepared by the National Audit Office and submitted with the observations of the Minister in charge of the subject of Finance.

¶ 07 AUDITOR-GENERAL'S REPORT

¶ 08 In terms of Article 154(6) of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, I lay on the Table Part IV of the First Volume of the Auditor-General’s Report for the financial year 2024.

¶ 09 Question put, and agreed to.

¶ 10 Ordered that the Report be printed.
