¶ 01 asked the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation: (a) Will he inform this House - (i) the number of major irrigation reservoirs in Sri Lanka; (ii) whether their reservation boundaries have been identified; (iii) if so, the number for which boundaries have been identified; and (iv) whether the identified reservation boundaries have been gazetted; and (v) which reservoirs have gazetted reservation boundaries? (b) Will he also inform this House - (i) the number of families living within the reservation boundary of Nuwara Weva in Anuradhapura District; (ii) whether a list of names will be tabled; (iii) whether permits have been granted for the lands on which they live; and (iv) if so, whether a list of such permit holders will be presented? (c) If not, why?
