¶ 02 Amendment to Committee Stage Programme

¶ 03 Hon. Members, since the dates scheduled for the debate on the Expenditure Heads of the Ministry of Industry and Enterprise Development, and the Ministry of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources, under the 2026 Committee Stage Programme have been amended, I wish to inform this august House of the revised dates.

¶ 04 - The Expenditure Head of the Ministry of Fisheries, Aquatic and Ocean Resources, earlier scheduled for debate on Friday, 21 November 2025, will be taken on Wednesday, 26 November 2025. - The Expenditure Head of the Ministry of Industry and Enterprise Development, earlier scheduled for debate on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, will be taken on Friday, 21 November 2025.

¶ 05 A copy of the paper containing these amendments has been placed on the desk of every Hon. Member.

¶ 06 Language Advancement Programme for Members of Parliament

¶ 07 Under the Language Advancement Programme 2025 conducted by the Department of Official Languages, the inaugural ceremony of the Sinhala/Tamil language training programme for Hon. Members of Parliament has been organized to be held today, 18 November 2025, at 2.30 p.m., in Committee Room No. 1, under my patronage. I request all Hon. Members who have applied for the relevant courses to participate.

¶ 08 Meetings of Committee on Parliamentary Business and Committee of Selection

¶ 09 There will be a meeting of the Committee on Parliamentary Business today, Tuesday, 18 November 2025, at 12.00 noon, followed immediately by a meeting of the Committee of Selection, in Committee Room No. 2. Hon. Members of the respective Committees are requested to attend.
