¶ 01 Madam Deputy Chair, Hon. Namal Rajapaksa came half an hour ago and is now raising issues I already clarified. I explained this morning that grievances of STF officers are being redressed and steps are underway. I also clarified recruitments. He sat here for 10-15 minutes and repeats questions.

¶ 02 He spoke about the underworld and drugs. We are enforcing the law fairly. Their own underworld links have now been exposed, including those brought from Indonesia. We are investigating those too. They developed and nourished the underworld and clung to power upon it. Everyone knows whom his father bailed out. We will investigate the connections he has as well. Do not come here to point fingers at others. No one at Malimawa is trafficking drugs. If anyone is involved in narcotics, we do not condone it. I can speak about “Ganja Suranga.” I can say whose side Soththi Upali’s son is on. So do not point at Malimawa. People know for whom Malimawa works—for the people, not for drug traffickers. Do not keep coming here daily to point at Malimawa. People know your tricks; they rejected you. The whole world knows it.

¶ 03 Madam Deputy Chair, they come here to sling mud. If you cannot make reasoned, evidence-based criticism, you sling mud. If necessary, we will investigate and present the truth—even about your dealings.
