¶ 02 Today, we are debating the expenditure Heads of the Ministries of Justice and National Integration, and of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism. At a time when the idea of integration among nations and respect among communities is emphasized, when we questioned last week in Parliament – which holds the power of financial control – about plantation workers’ wages, you tried to turn it into an inter-ethnic issue. From here on, this must be resolved. The Minister of Foreign Affairs is in the Chamber. Let someone from your side come for a television debate on the plantation workers’ wages. I saw that Hon. Vijitha Herath, the Foreign Minister, also gave a voice-cut on this. Hon. Vijitha Herath, are you willing to come? Is there anyone willing to come for a debate? If not, remember this.
