¶ 01 Hon. Speaker, I did not mention anyone’s name. If my statement made yesterday is properly studied, it will be clear that I did not name anyone; I made a general critique. If the Hon. Member takes it personally, it is because it applies.

¶ 02 There have been many discussions about past incidents. A file containing reports on multiple killings in the past is with me. I will very briefly say: the largest number of mass graves unearthed in recent times was in the Matale District—143 persons were killed. Legal action is underway. When those court proceedings are revealed, it will be known who killed at Kayikawala Junction, at Ilukkumbura Boralu Wala, at the Naula Ambawatta detention, and who killed 142 and consigned them to the Matale mass grave. I will not take more time.

¶ 03 We will confront these matters both inside and outside this House. Not only here; outside too we are ready. If you wish to debate, not before the Temple of the Tooth but before the Alwis Pond at Peradeniya University—where skulls were displayed—we are ready.
