¶ 01 PUBLIC FINANCE COMMITTEE REPORT

¶ 02 Hon. Speaker, I present the Report of the Committee on Public Finance on the:

¶ 03 (i) Bill titled Exchange (Amendment);

¶ 04 (ii) Regulations under Section 15 read with Sections 7(1) and 8(2) of the Tea (Tax and Control of Export) Act, No. 16 of 1959 (Gazette Extraordinary No. 2343/63 of 05.08.2023);

¶ 05 (iii) Order under Section 2 of the Tobacco Tax Act, No. 8 of 1999 as amended, relating to imposition of Tobacco Tax on Beedi (Gazette Extraordinary No. 2430/16 of 01.04.2025);

¶ 06 (iv) Regulations made under Section 35 read with Sections 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 of the Public Debt Management Act, No. 33 of 2024 and the proviso to Article 44(3) of the Constitution (Gazette Extraordinary No. 2443/14 of 30.06.2025); and

¶ 07 (v) Order under Section 22 of the Foreign Exchange Act, No. 12 of 2017 (Gazette Extraordinary No. 2441/14 of 18.06.2025),

¶ 08 which were referred to the said Committee.
