Attorney-at-Law Dayasiri Jayasekara, Member of Parliament, within the Chamber on 20 May 2025, I appointed a three-member Committee to inquire and report thereon, chaired by Hon. Deputy Chairperson of Committees Hemali Weerasekera, with Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath and Hon. Chief Opposition Whip Gayantha Karunathilaka as Members, which was announced to this House on 23 May 2025.
¶ 07 As Hon. Gayantha Karunathilaka has, by letter dated 05 June 2025, informed that due to heavy workload he is unable to serve on the said Committee, I have appointed Hon. Attorney-at-Law Rauff Hakeem, Member of Parliament, in his place. I wish to inform the House accordingly.
