¶ 01 Hon. Deputy Speaker, following the Public Security Minister’s remarks, I wish to say: I welcome and support proper investigations by this government, regardless of party. There was doubt whether someone like Suresh Sallay would ever be arrested; that has now happened. We extend full cooperation.

¶ 02 Regarding recent books on the Easter attacks: in 2021–2022, Pillayan “authored” a Tamil book titled “Vētkai.” Everyone knows he did not write it; it was written by Rohan Gunaratna. I urge the Minister to appoint a special committee to examine who supplied information to Rohan Gunaratna. I will provide the names.

¶ 03 Information was conveyed at the Police Headquarters building (opposite Immigration) on the 7th floor by a person connected to the Tripoli Platoon, the Islamic Centre, and from Ottamavadi known as “Khalil.” We have earlier raised names: Khalil, Police officer Faiz, one “Fawaz,” and later the Eravur Division OIC Ismail Ishaq. Khalil was imprisoned with Pillayan between 2015–2018. There are police elements still attempting to derail these investigations.

¶ 04 I earlier tabled documents on Ismail Ishaq. He left Sri Lanka on 04 September 2025 to Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and has fled. I can provide evidence. Some officers are undermining justice; do not let them stage-manage failures.

¶ 05 I also draw attention to a letter dated 12.03.2026 from Adam Lebbe Mohamed Ramees to the President, copied widely, about his brother Adam Lebbe Mohamed Riyas, an Army intelligence officer allegedly killed by drowning at Kulam on 21.04.2018. The complaint alleges links to Zahran’s group, and to an Intelligence CO named Ramesh in the East—later arrested under Yahapalana, then released under Gotabaya and posted to the Defence Ministry, with ties to the Bodu Bala Sena office in Kandy. Please investigate. We do not wish to be compelled to name and display photos of officers in Parliament if they obstruct inquiries.

¶ 06 There are other murders: M.S.S. Mubarak of Kattankudy (a chemical trader) was killed on 10.03.2018; “Palani Vappa” was killed on 08.06.2018, after having testified against Zahran for an attack on Rauff Machulavi’s mosque; even casings were not recovered. Witnesses who approached a Senior DIG were met with hostility from subordinates. Minister, ensure proper recording and preservation of evidence; otherwise prosecutions will fail.

¶ 07 On “Sara Jasmine”: her mother states a third DNA test was not taken from her. If three DNA tests were done, from whom were samples obtained? Two weeks ago, police went to the house and told the family she was two months pregnant at death and that the military buried her. Yet the Minister told this House she is alive. These contradictions must be resolved. I conclude with another matter: journalist Sulochana Ramaiya alleges degrading treatment by police when covering the recent Iranian ship arrival. Please investigate this incident as well. Thank you.
