¶ 05 Question to the Minister of Transport, Highways and Urban Development:

¶ 06 (a) Is he aware that - (i) there is a bus depot of the Sri Lanka Transport Board in the Pottuvil Divisional Secretary’s Division of the Ampara District; (ii) the said bus depot is located in the Arugam Bay area, which is famous for tourism industry; and (iii) only 10 buses are in operation under the said bus depot by now?

¶ 07 (b) Will he inform this House whether - (i) the said bus depot is starting new bus services from Arugam Bay to destinations such as Katunayake and Ella; (ii) basic facilities including a filling station and a maintenance unit will be provided for the said bus depot; and (iii) new buses will be provided for the said bus depot?

¶ 08 (c) If not, why?
