¶ 01 Hon. Speaker, under Standing Order 27(2), my Private Notice Question is as follows.

¶ 02 Under Article 150 of the Constitution, the Government annually presents an Appropriation Bill to Parliament for the use of the Consolidated Fund. After approval, the Government and relevant State institutions are accountable for implementation and progress. Therefore, it is important to know how much of the 2025 Budget proposals have been practically implemented, how the allocations have been used, and what outcomes have been achieved, to assess fiscal management, transparency, and implementation success.

¶ 03 Accordingly, I ask:

¶ 04 1. How many proposals were presented for 2025? What is the allocation approved for each? Which State institution is specifically responsible for measuring progress? Can financial and physical progress by responsible ministries be tabled before the next Budget?

¶ 05 2. Which proposals have achieved their targets so far? What is the total expenditure on each, and as a percentage of the total Budget?

¶ 06 3. Are there proposals that could not be implemented at all? If so, why?

¶ 07 4. What are the current account deficit, fiscal deficit, and trade deficit? Are they lower or higher than last year, and as a percentage of GDP?

¶ 08 5. What is the progress, to date, of development projects implemented under foreign aid and loans in 2025—can it be tabled, proposal-wise?

¶ 09 6. Did the Government achieve the targeted FDIs for 2025? What was the target and what has been realized? What is the plan to attract FDI in 2026?
