¶ 01 Hon. Deputy Minister, the President, through the last two Budgets, paid special attention to children with neurological disabilities and developmental delays, and a special monthly allowance of Rs. 5,000 was introduced to support schooling and engagement. We aim to bring children with disabilities up through the mainstream. Recognizing the need to include children aged 3–5 with special educational needs into preschools, what space and priority has your Ministry provided in the National Child Policy? Also, an inclusive policy and programme are essential within the preschool system. Under that policy, what fair opportunities and space will be afforded to children with disabilities in early childhood?
