¶ 01 asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism:

¶ 02 (i) Will he inform this House - (1) the total tourist arrivals and gross earnings, separately in each year for the periods 2015-2022 and 2022 to date; (11) the country-wise breakdown of arrivals for each year within these two periods; (iii) the top five source markets during 2015-2022; (iv) whether above markets have changed during the period from 2022 to date; (v) the new or emerging markets identified after 2022 and their percentage growth; (vi) the average tourist expenditure and length of stay during the aforesaid periods; (vii) the total promotional expenditure incurred overseas during the aforesaid periods with measurable outcomes; (viii) the development plans expected to be incorporated into the tourism development plan in the short, medium and long term, separately; and (ix) the estimated tax revenue earned by the Government from the tourism sector during the last five years, separately? (0) If not, why?
