¶ 01 Question to the Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education:

¶ 02 (a) Will she inform this House - (i) whether action has been taken to close the Paragoda, Kithulagoda Kanishta Vidyalaya, which belongs to the Bulathsinhala Divisional Secretary’s Division in the Kalutara District; (ii) the year in which the said school has been established; (iii) the number of students who studied in that school, separately for each year from the year 2015 to the year 2025; (iv) whether the distance and the travelling difficulties encountered by the students currently studying there and those who are seeking admission in going to other schools, been considered in closing the said school; (v) the distances between the said school and the nearest schools around; (vi) whether the difficulties encountered by the people of Paragoda and Kithulagoda areas when travelling to alternative schools during heavy rains and floods have been considered; (vii) the decision that was taken by the General Assembly of the School Development Society regarding the school; and (viii) whether steps will be taken to reopen the school?
