¶ 01 Hon. Speaker, I present the following Supplementary Estimates, Notification and Reports:

¶ 02 Supplementary Estimates (i) Supplementary Estimates Nos. 02 to 13 of 2024;

¶ 03 (ii) Notification published in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2399/16 of 26 August 2024, issued by the then Minister of Investment Promotion under section 3(4) of the amended Strategic Development Projects Act, No. 14 of 2008, relating to Odel Textiles Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.;

¶ 04 (iii) Mid-Year Fiscal Position Report 2024 of the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization, National Policies and Planning; and

¶ 05 (iv) Report on the Pre-Election Budgetary Position for the year 2024.

¶ 06 I move that these Supplementary Estimates, the said Notification and Reports be referred to the Committee on Public Finance.

¶ 08 Hon. Speaker, I lay on the Table the Annual Performance Report for 2023 of the Office of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration (Ombudsman).

¶ 09 I move that this Report be referred to the relevant Committee.

¶ 11 Hon. Speaker, I present the following:

¶ 12 (i) Report on the observations made and action taken, in terms of Standing Order 119(4), with respect to matters relating to the National Police Commission as contained in the Report of the Committee on Public Accounts presented to Parliament;

¶ 13 (ii) Report on the observations made and action taken, in terms of Standing Order 119(4), with respect to matters relating to the Office of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration (Ombudsman) as contained in the said Report;

¶ 14 (iii) Report on the observations made and action taken, in terms of Standing Order 119(4), with respect to matters relating to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption as contained in the said Report;

¶ 15 (iv) Report on the observations made and action taken, in terms of Standing Order 119(4), with respect to matters relating to the Judges of the Superior Courts as contained in the said Report; and

¶ 16 (v) Report on the observations made and action taken, in terms of Standing Order 119(4), with respect to matters relating to the National Audit Office as contained in the said Report of the Committee on Public Accounts.

¶ 17 I move that these Reports be referred to the Committee on Public Accounts.

¶ 19 Hon. Speaker, I lay on the Table the Report (Volumes I and II) of the Election Commission on the Local Authorities Elections held on 10 February 2018.

¶ 20 I move that this Report be referred to the relevant Committee.

¶ 22 Further, in terms of section 27(1) read with section 22 of the Universities Act, No. 16 of 1978, and on the recommendation of the University Grants Commission, the Regulation made by the Minister of Education establishing the Department of Forensic Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine, Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, published in Extraordinary Gazette No. 2336/47 of 14 June 2023; and in terms of section 27(1) read with section 21, the Regulation establishing a Department of Information and Communication Technology in the Faculty of Technology, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, published in Extraordinary Gazette No. 2336/48 of 14 June 2023, are laid on the Table.
